Burrito Bowls using a Crock Pot!

A Slow Cooker or Crock Pot as it is sometimes called is a kitchen appliance I wholeheartedly recommend you get. Many recipes are available for it online so you will never run out of ideas with the food cooked over a longer period on a low heat in this device. The effect of the slow cooking though is that everything, especially meat, is still juicy and tender rather than dry and chewy.
This specific recipe from The Protein Chef is a packed with protein, complex carbs and of course flavor! This specific dish uses 2 pounds of fat trimmed chicken breasts. The fat trimming needs to be done by you. If you don’t have a decent knife to trim the fat with just use a pair of kitchen shears. Once the fat has been removed cut the breasts into half and put it in the bottom of the Slow Cooker.
