1/2 cup urad dal
1/2 yellow mung dal or tur dal or channa dal
1/4 cup rice
3/4 tsp kayam (hing/asafoetida)
1 tsp salt
10-12 whole red chilies
1/4 cup fresh curry leaves

Roast each separately and allow it to cool down, once cooled, powder it coarsely. Store in air tight glass container.
