This often causes me to rather buy a less healthy item when counting pennies. And the whole coupon thing just takes way too much time. So he has figured out other ways to save money over the years and is sharing it with us today.
And Flyers is the first one on the list. You are already getting spammed to death with these flyers so might as well use it. The trick is to figure out which grocery store has what on sale. What The Protein Chef does is go through the flyer every week and then base his meals on the specials for the week. That way you get the best price at that time and you also know exactly what you are going to buy. So you don’t end up buying food that you might not need at that time.
The second tip is also an interesting one. Late night shopping. This works especially well with stores that doesn’t have a lot of foot traffic. After 8pm these stores often heavily discounts their meats especially if it is close to expiry. If you buy and cook this immediately you can save thousands!
