sattu ke laddu, how to make sattu ka laddu. Sattu also known as roasted channa dal flour is highly nutritious, high in protein and gluten free. It also helps to keep your body cool. Sattu ka laddoo is an easy to make healthy snack for kids as well as adults.
Update On Sattu Atta:
Sattu atta is made from kala channa and not white channa (chickpeas). So, once the kala channa is roasted, it will split a little and you can see the yellow channa dal ; which we call in Malayalam as “pottu kadala” and is used in seasonings with mustard seeds or can be made laddu known as “maladu”. But to make sattu atta, the roasted kala channa is ground to a fine powder, hence the color of sattu atta is slightly brown and the color of besan is yellowish. Besan and sattu are totally different. Hope this helps to clear your doubt.
Sattu Flour: 1 1/2 cups
desi ghee : 1/2 cup
Jaggery: 3/4 cup, tightly packed (use any good quality jaggery of your choice)
8 cardamons
handful of almonds, chopped
