I used red rice poha (aval), you can use white poha or any variety locally available in your place.
I used pure sugar cane jaggery, which I buy locally from Thiruvalla (Kerala) near a place called Pravumkoode. You can use jaggery powder or normal jaggery instead. If needed melt the jaggery in 1/4 cup water and strain and then use.
