First of all we need to look at what is the theory behind doing cardio while fasting. The idea is that when the body is in a fasted state the insulin and glycogen levels are low. This theoretically will shift energy usage away from burning carbohydrates and rather focus on the fat stored within the body. When you wake up and immediately do cardio on an empty you supposedly burn a lot of fat. The theory does make sense but is it backed by Scientific fact?
