Easy Meal Prep SLOW COOKER Chicken and Biscuits
Chicken and Biscuits made in a Crock Pot!
Chicken and Biscuits is the Slow Cooker dish we are looking at this week in this video by The Protein Chef.
The latest installment of The Protein Chefs #SlowCookerSunday promises to be a winner. This meal is worth 300 grams of protein and can easily be portioned out. Put an easy liner in your slow cooker because it reduces the need to clean the pot later.
As with normal slow cooker recipes this is a real no-brainer. You just add in all the ingredients, switch it on and then wait for the meal to cook. The ingredients are super easy to come by and super affordable. Even the slow cooker is an affordable appliance to get. And believe me that if you use it just once you’ll be hooked and use it over and over. This appliance is especially useful if you have a busy schedule.
The chicken meat used in this recipe is skinless chicken breasts with the bone removed. Chop it up into cubes or chunks before you add it to the pot. You will also be adding some chopped onions and seasoning of course. The recipe also includes chopped celery which is something I’m not crazy about. You can easily replace the celery with some carrot or even green apple. The recipe also calls for mixed vegetables. No need to buy fresh veggies though. Just go out and get a bag of frozen mixed vegetables and use that in the pot. It will work perfectly fine!
The chicken part of the dish cooks on high for about 3 and a half hours. This after you have added some 98% fat free cream of chicken and a low sodium chicken broth. Now comes the fun part of the meal! The biscuits.
