Fat Into Muscle. True or False?
Fat Into Muscle and whether you can actually do it is the topic for this video by Picture Fit.
This is a concept that is pushed heavily in fitness media like health magazines. Nobody knows where this idea originated from. It could just be a misrepresentation of losing weight and getting fit but is there any truth to it?
Well, the short and definitive answer is NO. It just isn’t possible as they are both made up of completely different bio compounds. Fat consists of Triglycerides where muscle on the other hand is made up of Myofibrils. Bottom line is that because they are so different there is now way fat can be directly converted into muscle.
So lets look at the issue a little bit deeper. Is it possible to burn fat and build muscle at the same time? Ideally you should focus on one at a time because they require different states. To burn fat you want to be in a catabolic state where you have a calorie deficit. Muscle building on the other hand is optimized in an anabolic state where you consume more calories than you burn. So it sure does look implausible.
The video however will take this question a bit further so make sure you watch it!
