Sheet Pan Meal Prepping – 5 Ingredient Recipe For Chicken and Veggies

Chicken and Veggies that is cooked in the oven on a sheet pan is the recipe for today’s video by FlavCity.

The recipe is for a 5 ingredient healthy and delicious meal prep. The whole dish is done with two sheet trays in the oven so it’s easy! The chicken pieces used for this meal are the thighs and the drumsticks. This is because you can get them nice and crispy on the outside while still being juicy on the inside.

The vegetables used is green beans, yellow squash and cherry tomatoes topped with melted cheese. The vegetables and cheese gets cooked on a tray separate from the chicken pieces. The oven will be preheated to 400 degrees Fahrenheit or 200 degrees Celsius. Sheet tray one is filled first of all with 10 pieces of chicken drumsticks and thighs. Season the pieces with salt and pepper and then flip them and season on the other side.

You could potentially make the dish a bit healthier by removing the skin because it holds most of the fat. The lovely crispy and caramelized skin however does add great flavor to the dish. Personally I love the skin especially if it is really crispy. The sheet with the Chicken goes into the oven for exactly 1 hour. You can now start preparing the veggies sheet which will go in for 25 minutes initially with the beans and squash. The Cherry Tomatoes only gets added after the roasting of the hardier veggies.
