Sloppy Joes is one of my favorite breakfast dishes and is the slow cooker recipe shared with us today in this video by The Protein Chef.
I love Sloppy Joes. A restaurant close to me recently stopped making them so I just stopped going there! I’m that much of a fan. So I got really exited when I saw this video. Making this awesome dish in the slow cooker just puts the cherry on the top.
As always this recipe is packed with Protein giving you 204 grams of protein per serving. The meal in total will easily divide into 8 servings. Before everything goes into the slow cooker though there is a bit of prepping to be done. Using a nice big pan on your stove top you heat up some olive oil. Then you add some fresh vegetables and garlic to the mix. You can really use whatever veggies you like but for this recipe The Chef used green and red Bell Peppers and Onions. If you want to add in other vegetable you are more than welcome. Let those cook for a couple of minutes.
Now add your lean ground beef or ground turkey to the pan and cook it till it’s brown. If there is a lot of liquid you need to drain some of it away.
